Navy Ship Ride during First Brunei Darussalam Rover Moot 2007
Being a Scout Master has many privilages. One of which is to join in Jamborees and Scout Moots. A Scout Moot is a jamboree for adult scouts or "Rovers". Rovers from many countries join in to do community services, visitss and youth forums. Anyway, this year thanks to the Royal Brunei Navy, we get to hitch a ride in one of their navy ships to go to Temburong. It was a cruise we never forget.
The cruise took 5 hours but it was full of singing all the way.

Wasai Lumapas Excursion - August 2007
Went there with a group of Maktab Duli scouts and other volunteers. The idea is to initialise "outdoorism" to students who never or seldom been in the jungle. At first everyone was reluctant when hearing about jungle heat, leeches, being dirty and improvised shelters and cooking. Not to mention the long hikes. Believe it or not after the actual day..... they want more. Hehehe.
Jalan Dang! Jangan inda jalan!
Model model remaja kepanasan!
Cooling off at the natural water pool - not so bad
Refreshing and getting used to outdoor life
Ah yes, as young outdoors-people we learn many things like abseiling ........errr with open minds and open eyes of course.
Young Padawan Learner of the outdoors. These guys are amazing and helped alot.

Me and my kids?
Alot of girls raise their eyebrows when I mention about my kids. Actually I'am an Air Scout Master and in-charge of SOAS College Air Scout Troop. I have been a scout myself for .. a century. Now its time for me to teach them the fun things away from the classroom. A teacher job is never ending and seldom appreciated. But it is always nice to hear some of the boys got 5 'O' levels or 3 'A' levels and are on their way for Uni and Colleges. Some are pilot trainees and engineer apprentices and finally saying things like they are glad they learnt basic aviation that helps them in their current undertaking. Always remember guys .... "Be Prepared, Be the Best" and to me ... you guys are the best!

Ok where is the nearest gas station? Over
Been dreaming of becoming a pilot since I was a kid. No scholarship, no opportunity then, no problem. Years later, hey I'm flying a Cessna 172 over North Borneo. Joined Air Scouts, met with many pilots, got some cash and some time, go for it! I think anyone can be whatever they want to be. "Don't talk about your dreams, live you dreams!" Just takes a little extra effort from the heart.
Street Rider Zack!
If you this guy riding alone the highways and occassionally Jalan Tutong, with a crazy smile and nodding away, its just me. "Once a Rider, Always a Rider". This a Yamaha Zeal 250cc street bike that is easy to handle and cheap to maintain. Gets me to work fighting through jams and a head turner at the Mall. I broke my leg once but I was never discouraged. I aim to ride responsibly and safely. I don't race and I stay away from rowdy bikers. I have been riding for ... 17 years now and its still is a magic moment for me.

Scuba Diving Adventure in Sabah!
The water is great! Clear and full of traffic. Again, the adventure got addictive. Great people from http://www.sabahdivers.com/ made it possible. From PADI Open Water Diver to Adventure Diver and now Advanced Open Water Diver. Night diving was scary but thrilling. Can't believe I was diving in pitch dark deep water but when I reached the bottom it was another set of marine creatures. You really appreciate nature everytime you dive. Our earth is full of beautiful creatures and they belong out there. I plan to do some conservation work one day called Project Aware.
Counter Strike Exercise!
Paintball wars is fun. Amongst the things to try out in Singapore besides shopping. I don't shop much in Singapore. I rather find things like these and make lots of friends. Check out http://www.paintball.com.sg/ and try it out. There are lots of good people to help you out and get started.

Started Rock Climbing in 2000
I started sport climbing in year 2K. It was so addictive, got a few crazy friends along and we climbed alot. Didn't imagine I get my picture in ACTION ASIA magazine August/September issue 2002. Although I have a busy job now and a one-pack to show for it, I still climb in Tasik Lama, Brunei and sometimes in Climb Adventure, Singapore.
Got my SCC1 and SCC2 in Singapore and had my Instructors Training in 2006. I just have to go to Singapore and re-train and get certified to become a SCC1 instructor.
White Water Rafting ... Grade5 Wooohoo!
I first fall in love with rafting when I tried it in the virgin forest of Brunei's great Ulu Belalong river. It was grade 1 but its still is a place I drop everything to go again. Some crazy friends of mine in Sabah suggested the Padas River. They didn't mentioned it was grade 5 and there were cases were people lost their lives. But since I was there, just look brave and not to loose face infront of so many girls. The experience was super! as long as you work together you will live and go back home with bragging rights.
Sea Snake Anyone!
Catching deadly sea snakes aren't my idea of fun. It was a part of this thing I have to do in SURVIVOR ISLAND in Pulau Tiga, Sabah. Yeah, the tv show. I was there. There were lots of challenges but I could never forget this activity. I have a fear of snakes and holding a lethal sea krait that is 10x more poisonous that the land cobra, was ..... (no words)
